November Goals from Sew........This Is My Blog

I've done well this year getting things checked off my 2022 "To Do" List but not so great at finishing things on the "UFO" List. I have three donation quilts along with the backings and bindings made and ready to be finished. One is from last year, so it needs to be done first. I found the cutest little safari animals online last year, traced them onto unbleached muslin, and embroidered them, but that's as far as I got. February OMG and RSC-Aqua/Teal Goals Met! from Sew........This Is My Blog

Was February even shorter than usual this year? I think it was. It went by really fast! Even so it was a good month, quilting-wise.

First of all, I accomplished my OMG (One Monthly Goal) hosted by Elm Street Quilts. And then some! My goal was to finish piecing the "Lazy Eyes" quilt top. It was a LOT of boring piecing .....

..... sewing the same seams over and over (and over) again.

I wasn't sure I was in love with it once the blocks were up on the design wall. Is it me, or does it look like it ...

January OMG and RSC-Red Goals Met! from Sew........This Is My Blog

I'm pretty excited that I've met my January goals. A little motivation goes a long way it seems.

My goal for OMG (One Monthly Goal) at Elm Street Quilts was to finish putting my Long Time Gone top together. It was in five sections in December, and now it's a top. It's the new year, so I'm going to jump in with Elm Street Quilts for the January One Monthly Goal. A personal goal of mine is to be more intentional with my sewing this year. So much has happened this past year with the pandemic and the year before was very busy for me with graduate school. Now that school is over I am hopeful I'll be getting back on track in 2021. One Monthly Goal At Elm Street Quilts from The Quilt Yarn

In an effort to keep me a bit more focussed this month I am going to link up at Elm Street quilts for their September OMG Link -Up.

The quilt I would like to be working on is Elizabeth Hartman’s Kitten quilt. I started this inexplicably while doing another project and it is already in danger of falling by the wayside (as, of course, I am already working on something else!)

I have these three blocks from a BOM in 2008.

Bind This Quilt ~ OMG April 2020 from Life in the Scrapatch

The Quilting Completed Here in June of 2019.

For awhile I did not have the right binding fabric.

So it slid toward the bottom of my to-do pile.

I found the green barbed wire fabric on sale awhile back.
